Peggy Carol (Kahlor) Vantreese
Peggy Carol (Kahlor) Vantreese was born Dec. 5, 1944, in Sulphur to the late Alvin Lee and Helen (Hager) Kahlor. She passed away on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, in Edmond, at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 16 days.
Vantreese grew up in Sulphur, graduating from Sulphur High School. She lived a short time in Ada and Edmond, but for most of her life, she lived in Sulphur. She spent over 40 years owning and operating Peggy’s Day Care Center in Sulphur.
Survivors include her son, Scott Hickman of Skiatook; daughter, LaGina (Hickman) Unsell of Edmond; three granddaughters; one grandson; five great-grandchildren; as well as one sister, Louise (Kahlor) Gentry of Sulphur.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, at Crossway First Baptist Church in Sulphur with Ralph Hickman officiating. Private burial will be held at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur.
