Sybil Pauline Broaddrick

Funeral services for Sybil Pauline Broaddrick were held 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of Davis with Brother Craig Abla officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.
Pauline was born Feb. 26, 1927, in Wynnewood, to the late Benjamin G. and Nelie Belle (Sweeten) Hobgood. She died Thursday, March 11, 2021, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 94 years and 15 days. Pauline and Charles McGee “Boo” Broaddrick were married on February 25, 1947, in Davis. He preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 2002.
Moving to Davis at the age of 15, Pauline worked as a waitress at several area eateries, including the Lyon’s Café, The Buckhorn Café, Jollyville and The Log Cabin. Later she worked at June’s Dress Shop in Davis, which she really enjoyed. She also spent several years babysitting. Pauline was a very devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Davis. Throughout her many years of membership, she taught Senior Sunday Class, served on numerous church committees, was very active with the WMU and assisted with many mission activities. In her spare time, Pauline enjoyed reading, watching and feeding the birds, gardening and working crossword puzzles. In younger years she enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions; as well as, traveling with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Vicki and Jana Broaddrick; one sister, Willa Aynes; one sister-in-law, Beanie Hobgood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by ten siblings, Della, Loreen, Moreen, Mitty, Brunetta, Jerri, Stanley, Bud, Russell and Bill.
