Ward, Miller exchange vows in Stillwater


Sarah Ward became Mrs. Johnson Miller after a bohemian themed wedding in Stillwater.
The couple’s Jan. 31, 4 p.m. wedding was held at Sparrow beginnings and officiated by the father of the groom, Darin Miller of Bethany.
The bride was joined by maid of honor, Allison Ward of Davis, the bride’s sister. Bride’s maids included Jesse Miller of Anadarko, the groom’s sister and the Aviana Golden of Plano, Texas, the bride’s cousin. The flower girl was Kenzy Sloan of Sulphur, the bride’s cousin. The junior bridesmaids were Andi-Kate Zevley, of Davis and Kerrington Sloan, of Sulphur, both are the bride’s cousin.
The groom was joined by best man Karber Miller of Stillwater, the groom’s brother. Ushers for the wedding Adrian Miller of Amarillo, the groom’s cousin; Foster Miller of Bethany, the groom’s brother; and Hudson Miller of Bethany, the groom’s brother.
Sarah wore an Essence of Australia gown that was a classic sleeveless A-line gown in porcelain satin with a sheer back with buttons going down the back and a cathedral length train. The gown was worn with a tulle cathedral length veil. The bride’s bouquet consisted of burgundy and dusty pink roses, eucalyptus, blue thistle and bunny tails.
The bride’s maids wore boho floor length burgundy velvet capped sleeve dresses with burgundy and dusty pink roses, blue thistles and bunny tail bouquets tied with burgundy velvet.
The wedding venue held similar décor with candlelit lanterns in the aisle with a large arbor with burgundy roses, eucalyptus, blue thistle and bunny tails arrangement. There were white floating candles in jars on wood cuts with eucalyptus and rose petals and burgundy rose bouquets on the tables.
Dinner was catered by Fuzzy’s tacos. Following dinner the bride and groom’s cakes. The bride’s cake was a three tiered vanilla cake made by a close friend of the family, Yvonne Merrit. It was topped with fresh flowers matching the bridal boquet and a gold Mr. and Mrs. Miller topper. The groom’s cake was bear themed and lemon flavor.
There was a photo booth with a neon sign that said The Millers. A chocolate fountain with an assortment of strawberries, cookies, pretzels and marshmallows was enjoyed. A pink punch was provided along with tea and water.
The dance began with the couple’s dance, father/daughter dance mother/son dance and ended with the marriage longevity dance.
The bouquet was thrown and the couple was sent off with sparklers. Leaving in a silver convertible for their honeymoon in St. Lucia, the Virgin Islands.
Sarah is the daughter of Ryan and Skye Ward and the granddaughter of Quay and Robbie Zevely and Perry and Kathy Ward, all of Davis.
Johnson is the son of Darrin and Denise Miller of Bethany.
The couple will make their home in Oklahoma City.
