Melvin Earl Lindell

Melvin Earl Lindell was born October 24, 1937, in Los Angeles, Calif. to the late Holger F. and Dorothy M. (Neimann) Lindell. He died Monday, July 5, 2021, in Mill Creek, at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 11 days.
Melvin grew up in California. Following high school, he served in the United States Navy from August 18, 1955, until he received an honorable discharge on August 25, 1958. Following his service to our country, Melvin returned home and earned degrees in accounting and finance. He spent several years working for Litton Industries, where he developed the first multi-layered circuit board.
In 1978, he and his wife Helen moved to Mill Creek and for Tim Stinson building houses. After a few years, they moved to Oklahoma City, where he worked as the Director of the Audit Division for the Oklahoma Tax Commission. After retiring from the tax commission, they returned to Mill Creek.
Survivors include his son, Greg Lindell and wife Debbie of Sulphur; one sister, Darlene Lindell of Georgia; and one brother, Kenneth Lindell of Nevada.
In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Lindell and brother, Jerry Lindell.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Mill Creek Baptist Church with Tim Stinson officiating.
