Cleta Fay Richardson

The daughter of the late Willie Cleo Shipley and Cledith Marie (Sistrunk) Shipley, Fay was born on Oct. 6, 1949, in Olton, Texas, and passed away on July 18, 2021, at the local hospital at the age of 71 years, 9 month, and 12 days.
Fay grew up in Plainview, Texas, and graduated from Hale Center High School, Hale Center, Texas. She had been an Ardmore resident from 1982 to 1998 moving here from Las Vegas, Nev. While living in Ardmore, Fay worked for the Ardmore Police Department as a jailer and then served as dispatch with the Carter County Sheriff Department. In 1998, Fay moved to Davis, Okla. In her leisure years, Fay enjoyed fishing, bowling, crafting, sewing but most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her twin sister, Kay Bryant; brother, Travis Shipley, sister, Pam Stafford; children, Karri Jones and husband Rodney, Lacy Richardson and wife Kristi, Eric Richardson and wife Kim, Tish Thomas and husband Steffan and Amber Richardson; step-father, Bubba Harmon; many grand and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services for Cleta Fay Richardson will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Kirby officiating.
