Murray County Free Fair returns

The Murray County Free Fair is happening! This Wednesday through Saturday, Murray County will hold its 99th Annual County Free Fair. Area 4-H and FFA youth will be exhibiting both Exhibit Hall entries as well as livestock projects.
The OHCE groups will also be displaying their work from this past year. Open Class Division is open to anyone who wishes to enter any category including art, crafts, horticulture, household accessories, scrapbooking, photography, baking and canning. This division also includes children of any age.
Fair books can still be picked up at the OSU Extension Office, Sooners in Sulphur and Davis and the all Snak Shacks.
Wednesday afternoon/evening from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. is entry of all Exhibit Hall items, crafts, artwork, food items, etc. Poultry and rabbits will be entered Thursday morning 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday afternoon is a big day and evening at the fair because 4-H and FFA archery and shotgun contests will be held, the OHCE will host a ‘Make and Take’ class from 2 to 4 p.m. The annual ‘Kiddie Show’ will be at 5:30 p.m. and a Free Community Cream Can Feast will be at 6 pm. A family Gospel Singing is also at 6 p.m. Thursday, followed by the Corn Hole tournament.
Friday all livestock will be in place. Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. judging of swine, goats, sheep, dairy goats, dairy heifers and beef cattle will occur. The county 4-H Horse Show will be on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. Bring the family out and enjoy a rich Murray County heritage.
