Davis foundation to host new domestic abuse support group

Do you feel manipulated and broken? Have you ever been overwhelmed by criticism? Do you feel like you’ve lost your individuality, value or self worth? Do you feel overwhelmed by ridicule, rejection or abuse?
You are not alone. Join other women who feel the same way on Tuesday and Thursday the first and third weeks of October at Changing Course Foundation Office at 107 S. Fifth Street in Davis.
“Every trial you endure will help you comfort other people who are suffering from similar troubles,” said Mistie Ibarra, domestic abuse support group founder. “Does your relationship cause you to feel intimidated? Maintaining composure in the face of unjustified criticism can be emotionally draining.”
Ibarra’s heart is to see women who have faced intimidation, belittling, disrespect, blame, manipulation, neglect, loss of individuality, poor self image, avoidance, isolation and insecurities come together and heal.
The group will meet the first and third Tuesday night from 6 to 7 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The first meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 5 and the second meeting that week is Thursday, Oct. 7. For more information contact Ibarra at (214) 395-4379.
