Loyd James Harber

Loyd James Harber of Sulphur was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Roff to Frank and Roxie (Johnson) Harber. He died Sept. 21, 2021, in Sulphur, at the age of 96 years, 7 months and 13 days. He was married to Wandell  J. (Hart) Harber at Ada, OK on Sept. 13, 1945. She preceded him in death Aug. 25, 2010.
Harber grew up in the Roff area, where he attended school. After school he was  drafted into the military service, where he served in the US Army during WWII and the Battle of the Bulge. After his discharge, he worked for OG&E as plant manager until his retirement.
Harber is survived by his 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Services were held Sept. 25, 2021, at Crossway First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Bill Leveridge. Burial was at Lightning Ridge Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.dearmanfuneralhome.com.
