Evlynn Delores Banks

Evlynn Delores Banks was born Oct. 19, 1946, in Fort Towson to the late Arthur M. and Erma Jean (Butler) Clark. She died Oct, 1, 2021, in Sulphur, just 18 days shy of her 75th birthday.
She grew up in the Idabel area. After graduating from Idabel High School, she attended Langston University in Langston. She later earned a degree in Dietary Management from the Francis Tuttle Technology Center in Oklahoma City.
Banks spent her career working in the Food Service industry, employed with Langston University, Burford Manor Nursing Home, The Artesian Nursing Home, as well as the Assembly of God Church Camp.
Survivors include her daughter, Carla Clark of Columbia, S.C.; son, Michael Colbert of Sulphur; step-daughter, Katre Nicholson of Florida; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her beloved soulmate, Michael Wayne Banks; and siblings, Arthur, Gilbert, Stevie, Malcolm, Martha, Lisa, Seniora, Angela, Catherine, Mary and Mark.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Sulphur, with the Reverend Gregory McCarrol officiating.
