James Chambler

James Chambler of Sulphur was born Jan. 1, 1946 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to James Bert “ Red” and Viola “Ola” (Wilson) Chambler. He passed away Feb. 6, 2022, in Sulphur at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 5 days.
He was married to Elsie May (King) Chambler at Guy Sandy Church on May 22, 1971.
He lived in this area most of his life. Chambler graduated from Sulphur High School and Southern Vo-Tech with a certification in mechanics in 1967. He worked with American Appliance heating and air service learning appliance repair. He returned to Sulphur and opened C&C Refrigeration until economy dictated a change.
Chambler is survived by his wife: Elsie May Chambler, of Sulphur; daughter: Petina May (BB) Blackbird Chambler-Phelps; grandchildren: Elijah and Bodacia; and brother: Tommye Chambler.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb.18, 2022, at 2 p.m. at DeArman Funeral Chapel. Military Service by the US Air Force Honors Guard.
