Davis’ two track teams were scheduled to participate this past week at a meet in Plainview but opted to compete April 8 at the Rock Creek Invitational in Sulphur.
Shelby Courtney finished third in the 100-meter dash. Jadi Thomas placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 87 feet. Madison Adams finished fifth in the high jump at 4-6.
The Lady Wolves’ 4×200 relay team (Chloe Summers, Kensley Barnes, Cassidy Parsons and Courtney) placed fourth. The 4×400 relay team (Jacie LaNoy, Summers, Barnes and Parsons) finished fifth.
None of the Wolves who competed for the boys’ team placed at the Sulphur meet.

The Davis boys’ golf team played in two tournaments this past week while the girls’ team competed in one tournament.
The Wolves placed third among 10 teams April 4 at a tournament hosted by Sulphur. Davis had a team score of 387.
Fisher Smith finished in a three-way tie for twelfth with his round of 92. Other individual scores included: Logan Boley 96, Dee Idleman 99, Rance Digby 100, Jaysen Welty 103 and Drew Whaley 118.
The Wolves played at Purcell April 5 and placed sixth with a team score of 402. Fisher Smith again was the top score with a 96.
Other individual scores were: Rance Digby 98, Logan Boley 114 and Dee Idleman 114.
The Lady Wolves played at Sulphur April 7 and finished with a team score of 453. Shelby Moring shot 96 to lead Davis. Other individual scores included: Tinley Pletcher 110, Presley Smith 112 and Stella Baker 125.
