Davis’ track teams competed this past week in meets at Lindsay and Healdton. Both squads gave a solid effort and had many who placed at both meets.
At the Lindsay Meet April 12, the Lady Wolves’ relay teams posted their best times of the season. The 4×100 relay team (Jacie LaNoy, Kensley Barnes, Chloe Summers and Shelby Courtney) ran its best time despite finishing second. The Lady Wolves ran 53.4 seconds but were edged out by Purcell.
The 4×200 relay team (Cassidy Parsons, Barnes, Summers and Courtney) ran its best time as well at 1.52.6 and placed second behind Washington.
The 4×400 relay team (LaNoy, Summers, Barnes and Parsons) also recorded its best time at 4.27.0 but finished second behind Kingston.
Shelby Courtney placed third in the 100-meter dash and Madison Adams finished fourth in the high jump at 4-6. Jadi Thomas finished fourth in the discus with a throw of 87 feet.
For the Wolves at Lindsay, Jake Hefley placed fifth in the 800-meter run and Chase Stewart finished fifth in the discus. The two teams competed in the Healdton Meet April 15. The Lady Wolves’ relay teams continued in bettering their times.
The 4×100 relay team (Parsns, Barnes, Summers and Courtney) won its race in 53.1. The 4X200 relay team (Parsons, Barnes, Summers and Courtney) ran its second-best time of the season and finished second behind Dickson at 1.52.1.
The 4×400 relay team (Paizley Sandusky, Barnes, Summers and Tylisha McDonald) placed third. Stewart placed fifth in the shot put for the Wolves at the Healdton Meet.
