From the Desk of the Interim City Manager

By Ricky Harness
The City of Davis has awarded a contract to relocate a waterline that runs under Main Street north to south along Second Street. This project is the first phase of an Oklahoma Department of Transportation funded project that will correct water drainage issues on Main Street between Second Street and Third Street and provide a protected turn lane from eastbound State Highway 7 to northbound US Highway 77.
The water line relocation project will begin the first week of August. There will be impacts to traffic flow at the intersection of Main Street and Second Street to allow for adequate workspace for the contractor. The City will work with the contractor to mitigate impacts as the project progresses.
The construction period is contracted for 90 days and sets conditions for the follow-on project to address drainage issues on Main Street and install the protected turn lane from eastbound State Highway 7 to northbound US Highway 77.
If you have questions about this project please contact the City Manager’s office at (580) 369-3333.
