W.A. “Dub” England

•W.A. “Dub” England was born March 9, 1929, in Davis, to the late Charley C. and Ruth Estelle (Payne) Rogers. He died on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022, in Davis, at the age of 93 years, 5 months and 4 days.
W.A. grew up in Davis. He spent his life working as a “jack of all trades.” From building homes to electrical work, to plumbing, or pretty much anything else that need repaired or built, W.A. could and did do it.
W.A. was a very soft spoken, kindhearted, genuine man. His love and support for his family was unwavering. He was very active in his children and grandchildren’s lives, always confirming their wellbeing. In his spare time, he enjoyed mowing, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Carter; two sons, Brian England, and Mike England, all of Davis; nine grandchildren, Shane England, Justin England, Ian England, Rennie England, Willie Dougan, Waylon Steelman, Bradley Mattison, Kristi Sumner and Colton Wimberly; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Charlene Fullerton; three brothers, Harold England, Darold England and Lester England; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, W.A. was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette on Feb. 19, 2019; the mother of his children, Rita (Crumb) England on Oct. 18, 2018; one daughter, Susan Dougan; one grandson, Richie Steelman; and three brothers, Houston “Hoot” Rogers, Charlie “Gub” Rogers, and Royce England.
Graveside funeral services were held 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Rogers, Mark Rogers, Jeff Rogers, Darin Rogers, Jason Rogers and Steve Fullerton.
Services were “Entrusted To” HALE’S Funeral Home of Davis, OK.
