Homecoming Weekend in Davis

Grab your red and white gear! Don’t forget your school spirit! It’s Homecoming Friday in Davis, Okla.
The DHS Homecoming parade will be at 1:30 p.m. on Main Street. Parade participants should line up on Fifth Street before the parade. A pep assembly will be held right after the parade.
At 6:50 p.m. the homecoming ceremony will begin on Wolf Field. This year’s homecoming queen candidates are Keyara Miller, junior; Anna Merrell, senior and Cayden Buckaloo, sophomore. After the coronation, three Davis alumni will be inducted into the Davis Alumni Hall of Fame. Chris Foster, Class of 1982; Jeremy Hoffman, Class of 1997 and Matthew Cowan, Class of 2001 were among the many nominated for this honor chosen to be this year’s inductees.
Kickoff against Lexington will be at 7:30 p.m. at Wolf Field.
The Alumni Association is changing things up this year for their annual meeting.
There will be a free, come and go reception from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Tommie Black Cafeteria at Davis Public Schools. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. There will be finger foods and punch for attendees.
The annual business meeting and Alumni Hall of Fame recognition will begin at 4 p.m. with an address by Alumni Association President Brent Gee.
The Alumni Association would like to remind DHS alumni that any nomination form submitted and not accepted this year, will remain in the queue for next year.
