Patsy Marie McCarley

Patsy Marie McCarley of Sulphur died Sunday May 7, 2023, in Sulphur at the age of 82 years, 1 month 18 days. McCarley was born on March 19, 1941, in Wynnewood, to Orval Daniel and Johanna Marie (Weeks) Lawrence. She grew up in Wynnewood and Sulphur. McCarly attended school in Wynnewood before moving to Sulphur where she graduated from Sulphur High School.
She graduated from East Central University with a degree in education. She taught in Davis and Sulphur schools before working as a State Reading Consultant.
She and Bobby R. McCarley were married on Jan. 26, 1962 in Sulphur. He preceded her in death June 3, 2017.
Survived by sons: Jeffrey A. McCarley of Pryor and Kevin D. McCarley of Sulphur; brother Dwight Lawrence, of Pryor; sister: Ginger Hinson of Decatur, Texas; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Hefley officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
