Cathy Lee (Hunt) Shaughnessy

• Cathy Lee (Hunt) Shaughnessy, 76, passed away April 14, 2023, in Oklahoma City. She was born to JT and Betty Hunt on March 7, 1947, at Davis, OK where she raised and attended Davis Public Schools. In her adult life, Cathy worked many various jobs in the surrounding areas until she retired from Dollar General Warehouse in Gene Autry. Afterwards enjoying more time with her family and friends, as well as reading books and watching old western television programs.
She was a member of the Church of Christ at the congregation in Davis for more than 40 years. After moving to the Blanchard area, she continued attending services at the Washington congregation for several years until she passed.
Cathy is preceded in death by her grandparents: John T. and Emma L. Hunt; and Samuel T. and Maggie (Cassity) Hayes; by her parents; JT and Betty (Hayes) Hunt; her grandson: Brandon Payne; and her brother-in-law: Wayne McGee.
Cathy is survived by her daughters: Sheila Shaughnessy, her partner, Jen Dolan, of Mineapolis, Minn.; and Kim (Shaughnessy) Holland of Blanchard; grandchildren: Ashley Flitter, husband Chad of Minn.; Beth Robertson, husband Jeff of Minn.; and Whitney Holland of Okla.; great-grandchildren: Brynja Monroe, Eleanora Belle, Dalton Chadwick and Falon Hayes; sister: Connie McGee of Davis; niece: Angie and her husband Randy Chapmond of Davis; nephew: Tony and his wife Jonie McGee of Davis; aunt: Carolyn and her husband Glen Simonsen of Davis and many more friends and family.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
