Turner Falls Park to Host Red Dirt Music Festival

TURNER FALLS will host phenomenal talent Oct. 14 for its first ever Red Dirt Music Festival. TJ Todd and Colten Jesse and the Hooligans will entertain crowds before Cam Allen and Kylie Morgan Take the stage later that evening. After Cam and Kylie? Jason Boland & the Stragglers. For the past 20 years, Jason Boland & the Stragglers have dazzled audiences all over as one of the leading ambassadors of the Oklahoma and Texas music movement. Exuberant and ethereal, Kylie Morgan is turning heads with her new EP P.S., out everywhere now. P.S. is the anticipated follow-up to her breakout EP, Love, Kylie – a bold introduction that scored the Oklahoma native a place as one of CMT’s Next Women of Country. The day begins at 2 p.m. with Sulphur’s very own TJ Todd coming to the stage. Emily Rhyne, Colten and Jesse and the Hooligans will entertain crowds throughout the afternoon.
The headliners for the event is Jason Boland & the Stragglers featuring Cam Allen and Kylie Morgan.
Event coordinator Stacey Harness said that 3,000 tickets have been issued online with the possibility of more going up for grabs. She smiled when talking about the park’s first live music festival, “There’s something about live music. We want this to be an experience,” she said “We’re so excited.”
Harness said the event is still in the planning phase but attendees are asked to bring blanket or a lawn chair for the event.
There will be food and beverage vendors. More vendors and concert experiences are in the works.
