James Forrest Woodell

James Forrest Woodell was born Oct. 17, 1956, in Ada, to the late Kenneth and Anna Belle (Burkes) Woodell. He died on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 66 years.
Woodell grew up in Sulphur. At an early age, he found an interest in welding. This interest led him to a 50-year career in the welding industry, with much of that time being employed with CD Brown Construction in Sulphur. In addition to welding, he also had a passion for horses and enjoyed wrangling cattle with area farmers and ranchers.
Survivors include daughter, Lindsay Rivers of Walnut Ridge, Ark.; several grandchildren including Cash and Jameson; two sisters, Gayla Bingham and Chris Trussell, both of Sulphur; four brothers, Rick Woodell of Pryor, Rodney Woodell of Sulphur, Tony Woodell of Linsday, and Blake Woodell of Sulphur.
A viewing/visitation for family and friends was held Saturday morning, Aug. 19, 2023, from 9 – 11a.m., at Hale’s Funeral Home in Sulphur.
Services were entrusted to Hale’s Funeral Home of Sulphur.
