Harold Dean Garrison

Harold Dean Garrison “Hank,” of Mill Creek, was born Dec. 22, 1949, in Sulphur to Elmore Simmie and Elva Iva (Johnson) Garrison. He died Aug. 29, 2023, in Sulphur, at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 7 days.
He had lived in the Mill Creek area all of his life, with the exception of his military time spent in Vietnam. Garrison was a graduate of Mill Creek High School. After graduation he worked for US Silica for over 20 years, he later opened his own business of Power Equipment in Mill Creek. He and Sharon Kirby were married in Sulphur on June 3, 1972.
Garrison is survived by his wife of 51 years: Sharon Garrison; daughters: Lorinda Chancellor and Jamie Vestal all of Mill Creek; 5 grandchildren: Langdon Gallegos of Forney, Texas; Lexie Chancellor, Cooper Chancellor, Kash Vestal, and Ella Vestal; 3 great-grandchildren: Lennox, Beklyn and Fletcher Gallegos; and a sister: Loreta Moss of Las Animas, Col.
Services were held Sept. 2, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Mill Creek with Tyson Brown and Brother Darryl Patrick officiating. Interment followed in Mill Creek Cemetery. Military Service by the U.S. Honors Team.
