Sandra Ann “Sandy” Bolling

Sandra Ann “Sandy” Bolling was born Nov. 1, 1941, in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., to the late James and Regina M. (Dagenais) Lapish. She died on Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, in Sulphur, at the age of 82.
Bolling grew up in Michigan and later Kansas, prior to moving back to Lansing, Mich. After high school, she pursued a career in nursing, which led her to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Central Michigan University. The earlier part of her 50+ year nursing career was spent working with special needs patients in Michigan, prior moving to Oklahoma in 1984, working at the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center in Pauls Valley. After that facility closed, Bolling spent the remainder of her time working for Sooner Home Health in Sulphur.
Survivors include her daughter Sarah Ashford of Sulphur; two sons, Steven Lawrence and Tim Lawrence; six grandchildren, Savannah Ashford, Jacob Ashford, Jessica Gilbert, Marissa Mitchell, Taylor Lawrence, and Todd Silken; as well as seven great-grandchildren, Rance, Trentlee, Rhett, Lucas, Lydia, Lynon and Axton.
Cremation was entrusted to Hale’s Funeral Home of Sulphur.
