Sharon Kay Davis

Sharon Kay Davis was born May 26, 1943, in Gainesville, Texas, to the late Johnny and Beatrice (Harris) Fisher. She died on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 80.
Davis grew up in Gainesville, graduating from Gainesville High School, Class of 1961. Shortly after graduating, she married Buck Andrews, and to this union was born one son, Chet. Later she moved from Gainesville to Ardmore, where she worked in banking. While living in Ardmore, she met Cecil Ernest Davis and the couple married on Oct. 26, 1965, making their home in Sulphur. To this union were born two children, Cela Kay and Brad.
Davis spent 25+ years working in manufacturing for Stromberg Carlson, Halliburton and the Flex Gate Corporation retiring in 2013. In addition to her years in manufacturing, she and Cecil also operated the Fountain Club, in Sulphur, for many years. At the time of her death, she was working at the Wild West Liquor Store in Davis.
Survivors include her three children, Chet Andrews of Gainesville, Texas; Cela Davis of Sulphur, and Brad Davis of Caddo; six grandchildren, Amber Henry, JB Andrews, Pierce Andrews, Brock Mackey & Myckalla, Shara Purnell, and Jordan Davis; and four great-grandchildren, Jadon, Devin, Aubree and Alijah.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, at the Midway Hill Baptist Church, with Pastor Willard McCartney Jr. officiating. Interment followed at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Sulphur.
Services are entrusted to Hale’s Funeral Home of Sulphur.
