Golf Season Ends at Regionals

The Davis boys’ golf team was finally able to compete May 7 in the Class 3A Regional Tournament. Playing at the Lakeview Course in Ardmore, the Wolves finished sixth in the 14-school field.
The tourney was originally scheduled for April 30. Heavy rains at the time forced the postponement.
Teams played 36 holes with the top three qualifying for State.
Davis shot a combined 706 and were one stroke ahead of seventh-place Lindsay.
Brendyn Pierce was 13th overall in the individual standings at 164.
Other scores include Evan Calhoun 21st at 171; Dalton Hefley 39th at 189; Rance Digby 40th at 191 and Dee Idleman 42nd at 196.
