Beats and Bites brings Bowen to Murray County

Red Dirt Country has found its home at the the Michelob Ultra™ Arbuckle Beats & Bites Festival with Wade Bowen joining the festivities on Aug. 14.
The outdoor festival will take place at The Artesian Hotel, Casino and Spa. Gates will open at 5 p.m., with Mason Lively, a Texas-born country artist, opening at 6 p.m. Bowen will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
“Our first two events were successes, and we’re looking to make our third Arbuckle Beats & Bites event even better,” said Justin Williams, Artesian area general manager. “The support from our community for these events has been outstanding, and we are looking forward to offering even more events like this in the future.”
Rooted in tradition, Bowen has become a familiar face for Texas country music. With a dozen albums in circulation, including six studio sets, Bowen is said to make music on his terms, snagging four T3R Regional Radio Music Awards in 2021. He still performs at the Grand Ole Opry today and creates music for the commercial industry as well, providing mettle with The Given in 2012.
In addition to live music, the Aug. 14 event will feature six food trucks and a kid’s area with multiple bounce houses. The concert and activities will be located on Muskogee Street, between The Artesian and the Chickasaw Visitor Center. Admission and parking are free.
Masks will be optional at the event and guests are encouraged to practice physical distancing, leaving six feet between themselves and people not traveling with them. Lawn chairs and umbrellas will be permitted; however outside food and drink and coolers will not be allowed.
More information about this year’s festival can be found on the Artesian Hotel’s Facebook page.
