Evaline D. White-Harris

Evaline D. White-Harris, better known by her family as “Evie,” was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Faxon, Okla., to the late Wilburn and Charity (Dorrough) DeVaughan. She died Jan. 24, 2022, in Ada, at the age of 96 years, 5 months and 22 days.
White-Harris grew up in western Oklahoma in the Binger and Anadarko areas. On Dec. 17, 1948, she married Lt. Col. Grady O. White. This 41-year union was blessed with two children, Linda and Les. Throughout Grady’s career in the military, this young couple made their home in many places. In 1969, following Grady’s retirement, the family settled in Sulphur.
Survivors include her daughter: Linda Estlack of Sulphur; three grandchildren; as well as seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
Graveside funeral services were Jan. 28, 2022, at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur, with Pastor Jim Shepherd officiating.
Services are “entrusted to” Hale’s Funeral Home of Sulphur.
