A HERO’S FAREWELL

Davis stood still for a moment when a procession led by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Honor Guard escorted retired Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Roy Rogers through the streets he called home a final time on Feb. 10. Rogers joined OHP in 1968 and retired in 2010. He served his brothers and sisters as the longest serving Oklahoma State Troopers Association president in history and continued serving as a member of the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Retirement System until 2019. Rogers passed away Feb. 6 and was laid to rest in Washington, Okla., surrounded by family, friends and members of law enforcement agencies across the state.
